Le titre de cette pièce à été choisi en référence à Mac-Adam, l’inventeur du macadam. Ce "Mac" fait également référence au Macdonald, emblème de la société de consommation, au mac, le proxénète. Adam fait référence au premier homme créé par Dieu selon la Genèse. Cet homme obèse, obscène et vulgaire qui baigne dans une nappe de pétrole est un hommage ironique au dieu païen de notre société contemporaine: le pétrole. Cette sculpture hybride, anthropomorphe, homme paysage pétrolier est réalisé à 100 % à base de dérivés de pétrole. Un moteur met en mouvement la pompe à pétrole du derrick phallus de Mac-Adam.

This “Mac” also refers to Mac Donald, emblem of consumer society, and to the pimp. Adam refers to the first man created by God according to Genesis. This obese, obscene, and vulgar man, bathed in a pool of oil, is an ironic tribute to the pagan god of our contemporary society: oil. This hybrid, anthropomorphic sculpture, an oil landscape man, is made entirely from petroleum derivatives. A motor drives the oil pump of Mac-Adam's phallic derrick.
